Theme: “Our Nurses. Our Future”.

Nurses celebrate International Nurses Day on May 12 every year. It marks the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale and the contribution of the kind, compassionate, and brave nurses towards the healthcare industry. A nurse’s role in the healthcare industry is as important as a doctor’s. Just like we applaud the doctors all over the world, we must give a round to express our gratitude towards the brave and hardworking nurses on International Nurses Day too.

The International Council of Nurses declared Florence Nightingale’s birthday as International Nurses Day. Nurses Day is the occasion to express gratitude towards our caregivers. They help patients get better by communicating with them, understanding their needs, and providing comprehensive care.

Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare sector, dressed in scrubs, stethoscopes in their pockets, and a doctor’s most trusted ally. They always wear sweet smiles and soft expressions, and they never forgot our treat as we walked out the door. While others had warmer grins and kinder faces, it reminded us of the day we were jabbed in the eye with a sharp syringe while looking out the window. We know it was all for the best, though.
